 Re: The Third Debate
Rewatched half of the debate on YouTube so far. I think Obama started off weak, I didn't believe him, I wasn't with him until he defended the William Ayers (sp?) - and issue I still don't fully grasp but need to research it more- issue. From there on, McCain was looking for shit to use and was just.. all over the place, his anger/blinking issues have to go. And yes Palin is such a role model. Puh-leaasee.

But she pretty much encapsulates it. KidRock69x wrote: The only Democrat nominee that I can think of that didn't back Roe was White. DemocratIC nominee. Do you have to work to be an asshole or does it come naturally? How do you know how I say it? Four things: 1) The name of the party is The Democratic Party. So perhaps you should have added "The" and "Party." 2) www.democrats.org. is ran by The Democratic Party. So the party itself is propagating the misnomer "Democrat" 3) I capitalized the word "Democrat" so that should have led you to believe I wasn't talking about a method of selecting political leaders. 4) In common parlance, "Democrat" is justifiable usageâ€â€as you know.

That rebuke means a lot coming from this site's torture supporter and defender of the worst president ever who says he's going to vote for the Republican no matter what. Quote: 4) In common parlance, "Democrat" is justifiable usageâ€â€as you know. Actually, it isn't. It was a usage created by Republicans because they thought it sounded just a little bit nastier than saying "Democratic." The proper use is to say "Democratic nominee." The nasty Republican propaganda way is to say "Democrat nominee." You did the latter.

 Re: The Third Debate
I never said I would vote for the Republican no matter what. I said I'd never vote for a Democrat. Um, Republicans are such parodies of themselves, I'm having a hard time believing that you so thoroughly and amazingly missed my point. Do you understand the difference between a noun and an adjective? He is a Democrat. Noun. He is a DemocratIC nominee. Or the DemocratIC National Convention. Adjective. The former is not the issue, the latter is. The proper use is DemocratIC nominee, not Democrat nominee. It's dumb and yet almost all Republicans do it the exact same incorrect way (ironic considering you're the party of English-only everything). I just want to know why.

 Re: The Third Debate
ArticleQuote: The testy clash in Long Island between Barack Obama and John McCain was seen by 56.5 million viewers, according to Nielsen Media Research.
That's 8% higher than the first debate held on a Friday (52.4 million) and 11% lower than the second bout, held on a Tuesday (63.2 million). And, of course, it's much lower than the vp debate, which stands as the second most-watched of all time (70 million).
Viewership was likely affected by Fox airing a series-deciding Game 5 of the NLCS baseball championships, Los Angeles vs. Philadelphia last night. L.A. and Philly are the second and fourth largest television markets, respectively.
PBS, which is not included in Nielsen ratings, averaged an estimated 3.2 million viewers, just 500,000 fewer than MSNBC. If PBS viewers were included in the national total, the total audience can be estimated around 59.7 million viewers. I watched the debate on PBS this time because the legions of pundits and commentators gets annoying sometimes. After looking at the ratings the networks got for the 2nd debate, none really changed too much except for ABC, which lost 2.6 million from the 2nd debate.
