Re: Obama's Cabinet (Talk Turns To Hillary)
I have a feeling that these negotiations have been going on for a while.
I don't want to come across as naive, but I don't think Obama would have offered her the job if he thought she couldn't be controlled. I'm sure a lot of the Clinton-Obama "drama" has been manufactured/amplified by the media, too.

Re: Obama's Cabinet (Talk Turns To Hillary)
Love Richardson; thought he should have been energy if Gore declined. LOVE Clinton; am going to say for once that I am tired of anti-Clinton nagging. She did what she needed to do in the election to try and differentiate herself from her opponents. She did a better job (almost half the draw, and the most for a female candidate ever) compared to McCain, and wasn't nearly as negative or as compromising of Democratic values. McCain won the primaries as amoderate and shot himself in the footby teaming with an evangelical...he showed he had zero internal considerations. Clinton never did this, and never jeopardized what she was pushing for as real cares.
She is going to be fine now, and she will cause as little drama working for Obama as she did in the senate (zero). She's a hard worker and that's her strength. She didn't get here only by generating noise. Everyone else here who is just guessing at crap should shut up.

Good choice for Obama (re: Hilary)
Many int'l love the stench of the Clintons. An Obama/Clinton pairing is good.
Dare I say she'll have more power than the VP.

What does Biden get to do exactly? Let's think about it. Hillary FTW.

Biden gets to vote if there is a tie in the senate! Which means that he'll be incredibly busy in the next 2 years.
I think Palin said there were some other powers too!

Doesn't Hillary get her own plane?
I wonder if this means Obama agreed to help pay off her massive campaign debt.

I don't think anyone posted, but Robert Gibbs was named President Obama's press secretary a couple of weeks ago: He's no Dana Perino

Yay Hillary. My wishes have come true. Knowing I'll be seeing her face and hearing her voice every day for 4 years is an early Christmas gift.

That was sarcasm. I was rooting for Holbrooke.
But I guess I can live with it, at least now she can't stand off on the sidelines carping at his decisions.

Re: Obama's Cabinet (Robert Gates To Stay On)
I don't get why she even took that position. She leaves a powerful seat in the Senate where she's beholden only to the people of New York every 6 years. Now she could be fired at any time for any reason. What is she gaining by becoming Secretary of State other than being etched into history books?

In 2016 she will be 69 years old and you think people criticized McCains age this election at Age 72. Ole Hill Dawg wouldn't stand a chance.

Then again, women live longer then men and Hillary hasn't had the health problems McCain has.
