So I’m on YouTube and somehow this video is recommended

https://youtu.be/UopoNZgWtew

I’m listening to Yang explain the reasoning by the 1k a month and I’m like. This makes damn sense. Why shouldn’t all Americans be afforded crumbs when their data is shared exploited used and stored for profit and future analytics by the tech dictators. He said Alaska dividends come from oil wealth so this universal dividend is from shared tech wealth since that is the future of industry. Plus he’s not a politician.

Help yang hit his 1.5 million target today. He’s only 200k away apparently.

Dems need to get over the Biden hate, he would be a great President and stands a tremendous shot at actually defeating DT. If he is the nominee please don't cry.

That said, Liz Warren is OBVIOUSLY the strongest primary candidate thus far, but the fact is her positions are NOT popular with general election voters. She may overtime persuade them but right now that is a big issue with her. Don't get upset if she loses for this reason.

Warren running a more moderate campaign would be an all-time strong candidate

It's always fun when a candidate (Gillibrand) comes out firing at another candidate (Biden) and it blows-up in their face. I like (liked?) Gillibrand, but she really needs to calm down. The constant interrupting aside, her one-on-one with Biden tonight just reeked of political desperation.

Yeah that was terrible.

Tulsi wrecking Kamala went viral. Kamala's response afterwards saying that "I'm a top tier candidate, and people at 0-1% are trying to get their name out by attacking me" was also a bad look. Horrible night for her

Kamala sucks. She reeks of hubris that is beyond toxic. Dem voters don't want arrogant complainer-in-cheif (we already have that). Gabbard's take down of her was beyond brutal but that Harris is so unlikable only compounded the issue

Same attack would have bounced right off an elite communicator ala Stacey Abrams or Obama but Harris was a mess with her response.

Here's who I'd prefer debating:
Warren
Sanders
Booker
Castro
Inslee

I would feel comfortable voting for those 5. Though I could be talked into swapping Booker for Yang.

Overdue Night 2 review:

Yang won the debate. Mostly because he was able to talk for more than two minutes, but he also had some good quotes and was able to show how his freedom dividend would help with most issues.

Kamala was thirsty up there. She was so impressive in debate 1 mostly because of seemingly natural ability to command the stage. Here though, she was so desperate to recreate that magic and it backfired - making her like Hilaryesque. Nobody wants that.

Though at least she wasn't just firing wildly in Biden's direction like Gillibrand. Sheesh. She actually made him look a lot more sympathetic and less like your goofy uncle who accidently says racists things and gets a little too friendly with the kids.

I still have to catch up on the first half of night 2.

Candidates who have met the requirements for debate #3:

Biden
Booker
Buttigieg
Harris
Klobuchar
O'Rourke
Sanders
Warren
Yang

Requirements not met but likely soon:

Castro
Gabbard

So I’m watching GMA this morning and apparently the candidates were in IA talking about gun reform and Yang is up there but he can’t speak because he’s crying. I couldn’t help but think that’s not a good look. I don’t want a president crying in public because he’s imagining something in his head. Not a good image.

Post subject:  Re: Debate #2

Regular voters do not judge people by that crap. Yang crying = Yang is a human.

Right now, polling consensus have Biden defeating Trump in:
-TEXAS(!!!) by 3
-NORTH CAROLINA by 8
-ARIZONA by 5
-FLORIDA by 3
-OHIO by 6
-IOWA BY 5
-MICHIGAN by 10
-WISCONSIN by 8
-PENNSYLVANIA by 10
-NEVADA by 4

Simply retaking Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, and Michigan wins Biden the election. Polling numbers this strong - even at this stage - mean it would take come of huge consequence - either massive Trump success or huge Biden fuck up 0 for him to lose any of those 3.

Assuming he kept Hillary's states, current polling gives Biden a massive landslide win with 393 (!!!!) electoral votes.

That is why he is the number 1. He is very well defined positively and closely associated with Obama - much more than Hillary ever was - and that scores him massive numbers with the majority of voters who are more center.

I know, there are a young, idealistic, naive, bordering delusional democrats out there who want their dream President. And that's fine - support them and they may very well convince a majority to support them, too. But if you sabotage what looks to be extremely prosperous Biden candidacy in the process? There will be BIG problems.

Don't think for 1 second that all of these early polls showing Trump beating or very close to the likes of Warren, Harris etc will change once they become the nominee. Trump's numbers will likely improve from current point once he begins campaigning and has a clear target to attack.

Biden will like have the Trump-esque "skill" where attacks are mostly ignored by mainstreamers because they simply already know who he is. Hence why the "Biden is a racist" shit was dead-on-arrival with everyone except extreme oversensitive dems

Show emotion at home, not in public running to be leader of the free world.

Btw, if it’s okay for him to cry why on earth didn’t every other politician cry. They know it’s not a good look even if you think that somehow humanized him. All I saw was weakness over something he said he was imagining in his head. Come on now...

Well, the deadline for qualifying for the September debate is a week away. I think it would be a shame for Tulsi Gabbard to not make it. She still needs 2 more qualifying polls to get in. Will she make it? I really hope so. I like her the most right now and would like to see what she can do with more time on stage.

Any of the people you support would be much better than Trump. We, as is the case with the dem party, just differ on the type of candidate we like. But I'm not going to hate. There's already too much of that going around.

She worked her way through college on a part time waitress job. Relatable

Kamala attacking trump was again tired nonsense
Klobuchar did the same thing. She’s whatever.

Warren easily wins again from the heavy hitters. Biden looks more ridiculous every debate. Yang and Castro had pretty decent nights. I get what Harris is trying to do, but good lord, save the Trump stuff for when the debates get tighter and more important. I wanted to hear about policies.
