A bit more math....lets see....

Totals right now:
Hilldog: 1470
Obama: 1589

Results (Clinton-Obama)

Mississippi: 46%-54% (14-18)
Pennsylvnia: 56%-44% (88-70)
Guam: 35%-65% (3-1)
Indiana: 53%-47% (38-34)
North Carolina: 52%-48% (60-55)
West Virginia: 54%-46% (15-13)
Kentucky: 54%-46% (28-23)
Oregon: 54%-46% (28-24)
Montana: 56%-44% (10-6)
South Dakota: 56%-44% (9-6)
Puerto Rico: 65%-35% (36-19)
Florida: 56%-44% (118-92)
Michigan:54%-46% (84-72)

Totals:
Clinton: 2001

Obama: 2028 DEMOCRATIC NOMINEE

Only thing is if that happened, most of super delegates would leave for Hillary and he wouldnt win, but you get the idea. He's not losing every state for the rest of the time, let alone by 5-12% every time. Heres my projection:

Mississippi: 43%-57% (13-19)
Pennsylvnia: 55%-44% (87-71)
Guam: 35%-65% (3-1)
Indiana: 53%-47% (38-34)
North Carolina: 46%-54% (53-62)
West Virginia: 45%-55% (13-15)
Kentucky: 54%-46% (28-23)
Oregon: 45%-55% (23-29)
Montana: 44%-56% (6-10)
South Dakota: 43%-57% (6-9)
Puerto Rico: 65%-35% (36-19)
Florida: 56%-44% (118-92)
Michigan:51%-48% (81-75)

Michigan would be a tossup. At that point it would be VERY clear the election is over, as Obama would eclipse 2025 unless hillary took 65% of the vote+, soher suporters would be def. be out in full force but I dont think itd be nearly enough.

Totals:
Clinton: 1975
Obama: 2048

Obama is going to be at my company's plant today. Link

Thank God I don't have to be there today (unless my boss calls me in).

Funny; the breaking news headline at CNN.com first said "CNN projects Obama won Mississippi," then moments later changed it to "too early to call, but with Obama leading."

From the exit polls, Obama is leading by 19% among men and 17% among women; they are way too cautious to not call this.

Republicans went 85-15 for Clinton; a combination of the regional factor (deep south) and who they prefer to go against?

SurveyUSA PA Poll

Clinton 55, Obama 36

Quote:
Obama Plays 2nd Fiddle to Clinton in Pennsylvania Democratic Primary: In a Democratic Primary in Pennsylvania today, 03/11/08, six weeks to the vote, Hillary Clinton defeats Barack Obama 55% to 36%, according to a SurveyUSA poll conducted exclusively for WCAU-TV Philadelphia, KDKA-TV Pittsburgh, WHP-TV Harrisburg, and WNEP-TV Wilkes-Barre. Obama and Clinton are effectively tied in Southeast PA, which includes Philadelphia, but Clinton leads everywhere else. She is up 2:1 in SW PA, which includes Pittsburgh; is up 5:4 in South Central PA, which includes Harrisburg; is up 4:1 in West Central PA, which includes Johnstown; is up 5:3 in NE PA, which includes Wilkes-Barre; and is up 4:1 in NW PA, which includes Erie. Clinton leads 2:1 among whites; Obama leads 3:1 among blacks. Clinton leads by 5 among men, by 30 among women. She leads by 12 among those under age 50, leads by 26 among those age 50+. On the Economy, which is most important to Democratic voters in PA, Clinton leads by 24 points. On Health Care, next most important, Clinton leads by 32 points. Among voters focused on Iraq, the two are effectively tied.

And thankfully no arguements about them polling Likley DEM Voters only, and no REPS or INDS because PA is a DEM only state.

Impressive turnout again, over 400,000 on the Democrats side alone and even about 130,000 for the Republicans even though its race is already decided. Wasn't there only some 100K total four years ago? And this number beat 1988 too, when Jackson and Gore were on the ballot.

Final Mississippi numbers:

Obama - 61%
Clinton - 37%

19 delegates for Obama. 14 for Hillary.

Obama's 100,000 vote advantage almost negates Clinton's 101,000 advantage in Texas.

Not as cheesy as "The Clinton-Obama ticket really is a dream ticket for her- a DREAM ON ticket."

As for whether this hurts the party, I think not (see post in other thread).

Agreed,

I think the continuing primaries will energize states that do not usually matter during the primaries. I also don't think this will hurt the democrats even if it gets nasty. It wouldn't hurt the democrats to learn how to roll around in the muck a bit before the actual election. Despite what people say at this point I thin it would be foolish for any of the candidates to leave the primaries...Well if Clinton doesn't win Pennsylvania 55/45 than I think she should drop out but otherwise both candidates are statitiscally dead even in popular vote and Obama has a small but difficult to overcome lead in delegates.

I actually do blame FL and MI for this both parties should recognize all states primaries and it confounds me that they treated them the way they did(Republicans gave half of the delegates to the candidates and democrats none). Ironically 6 months ago I would of said teh Republicans would be sqawking it out between McCain Huckabee and Romney while either Clinton or Obama would of Cinched the nomination by now. I guess I miscalculated the fact that Republicans reward all delegates to the winner of a state and Democrats slit them(like a real election).

I loved how Sean Hannity is all high and mighty on this and it's all Oooovvver Fox news. Much ado about nothing imo. Whether it affects PA is irrelevent since Hillary can't "win" the nomination no matter what happens.

Now, yes. Five weeks from now, not necessarily. Expect Clinton to receive a 15 point bump in the national polls before drifting back as the public attention shifts. Given Eliot Spitzer already feels like old news, the ADD-striken public psyche may be onto something else by April 22nd. Lucky for Obama the PA primary is not this week.

Don't know if anyone's mentioned this yet. It's actually kind of big news. Sort of.

It appears that Obama picked up an additional 9 delegates Saturday after Iowa held county conventions to pick delegates to the national convention.

"More than half the 14 delegates allocated to John Edwards on the basis of caucus night projections switched Saturday, and Obama got most, if not all, of them," AP says.

Hillary, in fact, lost one delegate, netting Obama a +10 lead from the state, which is kind of a big deal.

That's funny, because Clinton gained only 6 delegates from the March 4th primaries.

In other news, Obama is polling better than Clinton in Florida. Who would've known!

The most recent poll shows Clinton's lead growing even larger in PA. Clinton 56, Obama 30. Though I wouldn't look too much into any polls until we get within a few weeks of the primary which is still a month away.

Well, I knew PA would be a place of contention, but it's a big state...

Yet I just dicovered that Bill Clinton will be speaking at the High School a few blocks from my house tomorrow... that's where I go to vote. And this is a fairly small town...

I hope Obama decides to come to town too!
