This is just amazing timing to fuel more conspiracy theory, isn't it? So to refute the rumors, they are announcing the daughter is now pregnant. So bizarre. I wish the best for the daughter as she has been put under intense scrutiny with these rumors, and teenager pregnancy is nothing to make joke about, but some part of me just wonder if more things are in store, like to explain away the youngest child.

I agree that the whole situation still seems highly suspect to me, but if it is true that Bristol is currently 5 months pregnant, how is it possible that she is the mother of Trig (born in May)? Or are you suggesting there may be more lies to uncover?

No, Palin is. There are pics of her pregnant. The only reason that rumor was aroudn though was because if Palins, a prolife, super conservative, hockey-mom, daughter got pregnant at the age of 17, it would look HORRIBLE. Ruin the election, possibly her career.

I dont believe they knew she was during the election, and thats not nearly as bad as a 17 year old daughter pregnant. Gay is kind of understandle, dont touch it issue. But pregnant? Thats embarassing for anybody. Add yoru a governor, tis horrible. Add your running for VICE PRESIDENT...

Are you serious? The respect Palin lost in the minds of a lot of crucial voters is gonna be devestating. If it was say, Chelsea Clinton, theyd be more forgiving, but they dont knowe Palin at all. Their first REAL impression of her and how effctive she is at things will be this: her 17 year old is pregnant.

I'd they're pretty different: being pregnant before 18 and being gay. The former is more of a choice and shows possible lack of personal responsibility, and it especially goes against the image Palin tries to portray, the conservative family values and abstinence of sex for teenagers. People are more understanding of sexual orientation, and Cheney was picked a lot more for his experience.

This would make a great storyline for 24.

I think predicting how this will affect McCain in the polls is way premature. Her in Philly our former mayor was revealed to be under FBI investigation. That gave him a 20% poll bounce.

This wont affect her either way, Democrats wont go after her for something like this, they would look bad, Obama's camp will not go this low, atleast i hope, its not like a Karl Rove type of person is running their campaign.As far as conservitives go, just by not having an abortion she gets points for this, dont most teen pregnancies happen in in the south anyway?

Seriously, though, like I've said before, conservatives only apply their "traditional family values" standards to Dems and gay Republicans. An out-of-wedlock pregnant teenager is either none of our business or will prove her pro-life credentials. Pick the talking point.

What this DOES show is that McCain spent about two seconds vetting his veep pick and made a thoroughly reckless and impulsive selection for what is generally regarded as a candidate's first "presidential" decision.

If Palin's daughter had a baby in April, then she can't be five months pregnant right now unless she got impregnated immediately after giving birth.

Aren't the odds of a teenager having a down syndrome baby very very small? The primary factor is the mothers age and women over 40 have a comparatively good chance of having a down baby. Signs which point to Mrs. Palin.
