Re: Election 2028 (if it happens)
I really hope she doesn't, at least not yet. We're in the "anyone who is an actual threat to Trump's power will mysteriously fall out of a window" stage of government. AOC will need to wait until he's dead. 2036 to be safe. Up against the new conservative messiah - Zack Snyder. MHCSA!!!

He checks literally very person and professional box. Dems also badly, badly, need a new face to move forward. Someone who young voters haven't defined, who can't be instantly dismissed as incompetent, who feels and is authentic. Yes, he checks the DEI boxes too. The "hails from a swing state" box. An insanely gifted speaker. Likeable, down to Earth, and warm, but also serious and strong He, frankly, has a similar "warm, real, decent, competent" vibe that everyone has always loved about Michelle Obama. I think these next few years will be terrible for "Hollywood Liberal career Politicians" ala Kamala, Shapiro, Wes Moore, or worst of all, John Kerry Jr. Gavin Newsome. Tim Walz is not going to win a national election. Bernie is too old. Love Pete B but we all know what his issue will be with ignorant morons in moderate states. It is horrible to say, but they cannot run another woman ala Whitmer. Warnock is really the guy. I don't know if my thoughts will change on this. I really, really hope he runs. Warnock running on Sanders-style messaging of "Rebuild the Government" with a christian religious thread interwoven could be a pretty epic.
A Warnock-Whitmer type of ticket would be very intriguing. Only note I would add to this is Gavin Newsom's podcast and outreach to far right folks is what the party needs more of. Newsom pushing a populist message would be noteworthy was he is a capable and effective messenger.

Harris always leads the polls but it's not going to be her out of boredom and they've got to try a guy this time. So that Harris residual support turning into Walz getting his chance this time may be how it goes.

It isn't going to Walz, he is not viewed as serious. Seriously. Warnock had better run, he has a high ceiling. Gavin Newsom of 2018-2024 will no go anywhere. If he successfully reinvents himself as a Bernie style listener and messengers then he has potential.

No one is going to fall for the Newsom “reinvention”.
Dems best bet is to go for a governor who isn’t as well known on the national stage , like Whitmer, Shapiro, Moore, Beshear etc.

All of the Democratic Party candidates besides Newsom are much weaker than any of you believe. You have no idea what you’re talking about.

The Democratic Party of Roosevelt and Kennedy is completely and totally finished. It won’t recover whatsoever.

everyone forgot one of the biggest reasons trump lost as an incumbent in 2020 was the sheer instability that comes with him. it is already back and front and center.

It’s no different fundamentally or functionally than a medical patient that starts showing symptoms, or worse symptoms, or more obvious symptoms, from the perspective of those observing them, even if they already had the disease.

Ignore the demographics and look just at the politicians and there are three parties:
The Freedom Caucus The Establishment The Progressives
