Lets face it.....Obamas 4 years will be a big clean up

-Get out of Iraq (I doubt he really intends to)
-Handle Afghanistan (He wants to expand this)
-Rescue the US-Economy (He helped cause it by passing the Bailout Bill)
-Fight against an enourmous debt problem (Passing the Bailout Bill didn't help)
-Fix Health care (Maybe he can do some tinkering here)
-Fix image of US in the world (He can do this)
-Have an answer for Russia and China (Georgia attacked first, enough said)
-Handle Iran (Yet Israel is the one with the Nukes)
-Install a mentality of save money instead of living from debt and on from the credit card
(Hhmm, "install a mentality of saving money" What does that mean?)

(say all thank you to Mr. Bush)

I fear he will have to do some very unpopular moves......and then Reps will maybe try it again with the insans Palin in 2012.

Do you think Obama can handle it? (No, to most of it) Or at least part of it?

Whether you will be disappointed depends on whether you think this is the dawn of a grand new liberal era. If so then I believe you will be. I expect Obama to govern in a relatively centrist way, with a few liberal flourishes but nothing like what people are probably hoping for on the activist left.

I expect him to have a modestly successful and fairly boring presidency which would be a great improvement over the colossal clusterfuck of the last 8 years.

I think he has big plans for a lot of public works projects. I expect increase funding in volunteer programs like the peace corps, big projects in the energy area like building solar and wind power plants, and probably an increase funding in the NPS and other places like museums and libraries helping them hiring these college students that can't find decent jobs. I really hope for that since museums are my field and its needs better funding.

How can they not be disappointed?!?

People have been so drunk on the hype all year, they're in for the most massive hangover ever.

Obama should look at Bill Clinton...

Obama's biggest mistake would be to adapt a liberal agenda and should be very very centrist. Imo if he does that, he will go down as being a very popular President overall. Sure the radical left and right will not like him, but the public will.

Clinton try to bring out a activist liberal agenda in his first two years and got massacred.
Then he shifted to the centre and got more popular (also because of Newt Gingrich and the Congress), and left being seen as a pretty good guy.

Obama should not make the mistake and should not do anything to lose that support he has from moderates and independents, because trust me they would vote republican again.

I would vote for a Republican next time, if Obama is a crazy leftie.

However his handeling of the economic crisis showed he is a moderate.
