My only question is, would Disney remain neutral ground?

Bush got 44.6% of the "Blue State" vote in 2004. It's an unnecessary and divisive construct.

Nice!

Though the bits about single moms and especially Dollywood were completely uncalled for...

:)

The slave states comment was uncalled for as well. Along with the rest of the e-mail, in fact.

It's definitely not in Hollywood's best interest to cut out the red states. Where will all the debutantes come from?

As to why big cities tend to vote Democrat, there's a couple of reasons:

1. Race and ethnicity - most big cities have a large black population that votes overwhelmingly Democrat. Same thing for Jews.
2. Economy - Dolce already touched on that
3. Unions - Philly, as an example, is still a big union town, and unions tend to go for Dems.

Best part of the e-mail:

We get Elliot Spitzer
Yup, you sure did.

We've got Paris Hilton, thank you very much. I think that's enough.

i would say #1 is a bit of a generalization. More sections of the population mix with other sections of the population. not just because there are huge black and jew population.
