Just went to see Biden...
My wife and I just got back from a rally in Wilkes-Barre with Joe Biden. Enthusiastic crowd of about 500, good speech by Biden.
Lots of talk about the economy, of course, and most of the speech was (as expected) an anti-McCain speech, although he cautioned it with the fact that he likes McCain and calls him a true hero. "But we don't need a soldier, we need a leader" was the gist of what he said, pointing out how McCain's policies helped get us into this mess. "Oh, just now he is noticing there is a problem? Where was he two weeks ago? A month ago? Six years ago? He was preaching about how we needed to deregulate and let Wall Street go crazy..." (Not exact quotes)
And since he was born and grew up in Scranton, he spent some time talking about his boyhood in the area.
Afterward, he came down to shake hands. I got about 3 feet away from him but didn't want to push the little old ladies out of the way, so I didn't get to shake his hand like I wanted to.
