His new position is too vague to know if it's appealing or not. He's talking about possible payroll tax increase. But will be a Ronald Reagan-esque tax increase on the poor while cutting taxes for the rich? Or will be an Obama-style tax increase at the top while cutting taxes for the middle class and poor? That's a pretty big difference between the two. One is horrible and the other is the best we're going to get under the circumstances.
