Correction:
Obama played by the rules and got rewarded. Nothing unusual or surprising about that. I understand that as a Hillary supporter, you're unfamiliar with the concept of rules, but that's what everyone else is trying to deal after Hillary decided to go back on her agreement not to seat any MI or FL delegates.
He took his name off the ballot on his own accord as did Edwards and Richardson after the Michigan delegation implored all candidates to remain on the ballot, knowing there was little chance of holding another primary or caucus later.
The DNC has no inclination to ruffle Iowa's and New Hampshire's unfair power of position in the primary/caucus schedule, even though they don't deserve to have that position election after election. None of the candidates are going to side with an upstart such as Florida or Michigan while they are lauding how "freakin'" awesome New Hampshire and Iowa are.
Dean himself stated Iowa was about the worst state to start the season with back in '99 in a Canadian public affairs program. By 2003-2004, he was stating Iowa was the best state to pick a President, but Lisa Myers unearthed the footage and aired it in December and began Howard's end.
The DNC royally messed up with Florida and Michigan. They looked absurd pushing the issue this far to do exactly what the RNC decided last year before Iowa. Michigan should have gotten 60% relief and Florida should have gotten 75-80% relief. All superdelegates should have been seated with full privileges according the sacred DNC "rules", which I think is absurd.
However, so is penalizing voters for the dithering of DNC commitee members. The whole charade was a cover your ass exercise for both the committee and the Florida and Michigan delegations.
