Help the Republicans come up with a new slogan
Hat tip to Huffpost.
Demonstrating that they can't do ANYTHING right, not even come up with stupid slogan, the Republicans need our help.
Some lawmakers and Republican strategists have also asked why the leadership did not drop or refine its "Change You Deserve" message after it learned that it was also the slogan of an antidepressant drug, creating an easy punch line for Democrats.
Any ideas?
The GOP: We won't give up until we're finished.

Re: Help the Republicans come up with a new slogan
This one is a variation on one I saw at Huffpost:
The GOP: Evolution doesn't work and we're proving it.

I think the Democrats should use
"Time to shave the Bush honey!"

"We believe as Ronald Reagan said that government is the problem, not the solution, and when we get elected, we prove it!"

We invented candidates who make empty speeches and are backed by crazy preachers.

You can't? It's been that way for a while. Not that they are really different politically or both sides on the Congressional sides of things aren't swamped in corruption.

The Gingrich congress did a brilliant job of forcing reform on the budget, and deserves more credit than Bill Clinton.

No, I mean, the 109th has been over for two years now and yes, was pretty goddamn disastrous.

At the start of the Bush years, the Republican National Committee  in tandem with the White House  vowed to usher in a new era of GOP minority outreach. As George W. That’s the longest such streak since the 1980s.Chalk up one more failure of the Bush White House. And he's actually MORE friendly to minorities than the nutjobs in Congress. I guess Barack becoming president probably won't help matters either.

There would have been or anyone in his administration to really make an outreach towards minorities (in terms of catching party interest). The fault lies in the hands of the RNC. It's a pretty big stretch to lay this failure on top of Bush, as eager as I am to do it.

And I'm not sure how empty promises don't but a goodly portion of the blame at his feet. That said, he has certainly been more amenable to minorities than the party at large. But the general outreach was always about building on the strategy of Karl Rove's "permanent majority" and you need minorities to do that. As soon as they got in trouble, though, they had to shore up the base, which meant abandoning minorities out of political expediency.
