How is the new administration doing? What changes would you like to see? What are you disappointed with? etc. |

The administration, as a whole, is doing fairly well. I would like to see a full set of rules announced soon, rules which give users a better idea what is allowed, where the line is, and what the punishment is for violating the rules. Not dissapointed with anything thus far. There is always a learning curve for any new administration, and I think you're going through that now. Understand that asking for opinions is the easy part, sorting through and acting on them is far more difficult. |

It's not that hard to act on suggestions if you're motivated by your user base and aim to satisfy them. It takes patience and coordination, but resolution is easy when everyone's on the same page regarding the bottom line... |

Too many mods, too little to mod. Some of the mods are just going to be there, and I noticed admins have been performing tasks lately too. There should be more than enough mods to prevent that (unless you are wanting it that way), so maybe with so many on the team, some are already beginning to lay off leaving everything for the others. It reminds me of a school group project. There were always a few who did more than their part, while a few others just sit there doing nothing. Happens when a large group have several tasks to do. A smaller group will be almost forced to work together and get things done, sharing duties. And KJ is that sort of site given it's small size. And it's early, but increasing forum activity by focusing all attention on a single forum, in a couple threads isn't going to do anything. There should be ways of increasing activity all over the forum if it's to stay the same as before. The game Magnus has going on in the Bash is interesting, a small idea, but I think it's a good example that can get more involved in related topics, not randomness. |

I think you are saying this as a way of justifying the Roid regime. The statement is meant to justify nothing, nor do I feel anything needs justified. It's a tid-bit of wisdom we would all do well to remember, one which seems especially pertinant to you given the thread we now post within. |

He is tasked to help with the technical aspects of the forum, as not every admin candidate should be expected to know the intricacies of phpbb. He is not to take part in any disciplinary capacity, and can help in trivial aspects of moderating as much as torrino and he desire. |

Kj is kj because its small. The forum is fine. Its the main site that needs help. |

The number of moderators are there to help me make grounded decisions when things like "should we ban Corpse?" come up. If it were Zingy and me, we could hypothetically say "YES. WE HATE CORPSE," but luckily there's another six mods to prevent that and make sure decisions are objective. And the way it breaks down makes sense, honestly. Every "sect" is represented. We're keeping two well-liked site vets (MadGez, xiayun), we're adding two of own (Christian, paper), and we allowed WoKJ to elect two (yoshue, Dr. Lecter). |

That part sounds pretty good, but will they also have your normal mod duties as well? If you look around the forum, only half of the team have performed those duties from what I can see. That's why I expressed concern about everything falling on just a few on the team who happen to be on more often and get all the work done, while the other few just sit back and do nothing on the forum, as far as your usual mod duties are concerned. Of course it's still early, but that's my early negative/constructive feedback so far. As well as trying to initiate discussion in other areas of the forum besides the Water Cooler. But again, it's early. As for the positive, everything seems to be running fairly well so far. |

loyalfromlondon wrote: Here's Corpe's post summed up. KJ is small KJ is small KJ is small not a bad post, imo. I do agree that we seem to have a lot of mods considering the size and membership of this site. Although I keep seeing new names pop up out of nowhere, so perhaps we're starting to grow. 1 thing I would like to see change but do not expect to is a decrease in these silly word games and constant batting and obnoxious "jokes" that are impossible to tell if they are jokes. It's the most annoying and unnecessary part of this site, but seeing as that behavior is apparently ingrained in a large group of the site that has been here much longer than I have, I don't see anything changing anytime soon. |

Are you talking about the conversation in The Water Cooler, John? Granted, yoshue and snack should probably get a room, but I like the energy! It keeps the forum alive while the rest of us wait for a John Savage film review worth contemplating. Now, if you feel that there is animosity or hatred brewing on the forum as a result of the Water Cooler activity, well... |

Now, if you feel that there is animosity or hatred brewing on the forum as a result of the Water Cooler activity, well... well what torrence? I don't feel that there is hatred brewing, but rather hatred openly expressed and fully visible. And frankly, neither the past administration nor your's has even bothered looking closely at it. And as much as I hate to be the black guy calling foul on a white cop pulling him over for going 90, I think the fact that I'm a new poster is part of the reason it's so easy to ignore. |
