I get offended when I see stoned turtles on screens. Sorry, but I get offended by that kind of contrived, unrealistic crap. |

Impact... This isn't BOM. We're not going to stop people from using the F-word because one person has a problem with it. It's not even being overused. Sometimes, people use it. No one writes every single post with a "fuck you!" in it or anything. |

Impact wrote: Well I'm sure I'm not the only one. Sorry but I just like to see it less possibly. Impact. I personally hate it when people use certain words as well. I try to discourage them but realize that others dont feel the same way. If we start picking up words and censoring them, everyone has a preference of what they do not wish to hear and very soon, we'll have a forum littered with ***. Thats why we aren't censoring anything. Even words like Paki, Nigger, Honky are acceptable (but only in the right context). |

Impact wrote: Okay mabey as long as there not using it as I ****ed someone Why would that be unacceptable, but using it to make fun of others is acceptable? |

Impact, if you don't like profanity, then I suggest you either join the MPAA or FCC or some conservative group. In other words, that's your problem (esp. if it's not BOM), so why complain? Otherwise, watch something where they mock profanity (like idk, maybe King of the Hill), so you can gain your satisfaction while many more others can kick your ass good-bye and watch a movie where Julia Roberts roles in a ADA character who swears and kicks the asses of evil from PG&E braches and main corporation company. Oh... fcuk you (special message from an ad I saw from Las Vegas or maybe some company that sells perfume and clothing) |

Oh... fcuk you (special message from an ad I saw from Las Vegas or maybe some company that sells perfume and clothing) The reason profanity is allowed on this board is to provide everyone with the means to express themselves, with the use of colorful language from time to time, if someone wishes to do so. As much as I do not appreciate blatant profanities, I still allow it out of respect for other people's freedom to express themselves. What I do not enjoy is the same people wanting these freedoms yet being completely disrespectful towards another who does not feel the same way as you do, yet still makes the effort to ask only politely. Refrain from such behaviour in the future. |

Do you really need to use profanity to express your opinion? I prefer to use words like mushroom, jackalope, and hamburger. |

I would replace some of the profanities with another wording to make everyone happy for example Orifice would replace A**hole So instead of saying "Mr. X is an A-hole", I would say "Mr X is an orifice" Bloody would replace "F*ck" since bloody means the same thing for brits Snrub is Bloody funny! Taco & Clam would replace the word C*nt but the word taco would offend our hispanic friends so if you need to insult a mexican friend without using any of the derogatory terms, I would say suggest you use the term "lawnmower man" or "truck bed rider" Watermelon spitter would replace N*gger Burgerbreath would replace Cracker and whitey See there are ways around using profanity |
