Razzies: Spiderman
half-decade: MikeQ
kj Awards: Mac and Xia

I think the 3 of them need to work it out together.

And the TV awars by Spiderman 2005

im saying this becouse mostly no one is paying attention to the other awarcd, right now its all about the motion picture awards(sending ballots to the poster, campaining on the thread, etc...

we make the Schedule, and most of the board will participate!, its such a mess doing all of them at the same time!

i hope you guys understand what im saying!

I agree with matatonio. When you have too many awards running at one time, you are taking attention away from the others. Most likely, the *big* awards (KJ Movie Awards) will likely have all the attention, and then other awards will be left in the cold.

I'd like to see half-decade awards move to a little later. Razzie can remain with its current schedule, since the real Razzie is given out before Oscar as well, and this is a reflection of how people are more interested in the best than discussing the worst. Also Razzie needs to be done soon since we're already talking about Alone in the Dark and some of the 2005 contenders. Alexander and SuperBabies 2 could become a distant memory soon. And I don't think it's necessary to push it out to the movie forum instead of stickying it in the water cooler forum.

well i think 1/2 century should wait until 1/2 century, but that's just me. Its less urgent than the other's so it can definately go later. I'd hold the razzies and make them casual right after the official awards, since we want to make that a huge annual event and thats the one with larger ballots, etc. I agree one at a time...

The "5 Year" and "Razzies" need to be scrapped.

IMO.

As moderator of the TV forum, I'm not sure Spiderman's TV awards are completely necessary at this point in time (considering the season is a little past halfway through), but if others want to participate in them, it's okay by me.

The half decade (AKA...the LOTR awards) is a bit much. So are the razzies. TV awards is different enough, because it's another medium altogether, as music would be, but I think it's overkill. People can do them if they wish, but I think it's counter productive, and oversaturates the forums with awards, and that energy would be much better spent trying to help with the main awards. I'll have to go back through that thread and do edits if there have been more who want to present, and I hope that MikeQ and Spider-Man will help with the presentations in the main awards before focusing on others that are more or less afterthoughts.

By the way, Goldie, Mac was a typo on bABA's part. He meant me.

Well, here's the thing. For the past three years, I have done The Excellence in Television Awards, which is my own creation to award television. This year would be the fourth year. It isn't held until June. I'm not saying to scrap the TV awards now, but if Spiderman2005 would like, we could collaborate together on the same TV awards show in June, rather than have two separate awards shows. Is that good with Spidey or everyone else?

Spacing the awards out is a win/win situation for the whole board. One at a time is just a better way to go about it IMO. June would be good for those, and it would be overkill to the members being overwhelmed by too much awards stuff at one time.

Tell Spider-Man to have a little patience, and don't worry about the TV and razzies yet. If he's so gung ho about awards, he can help promote and present for the movie awards. The more people who get involved with those, the better it is for everyone.

bABA, Eagle, somebody...explain the wisdom of that to him.
