Post subject:  Names with profanity in them
Not sure if bABA or Eagle talked about it before, but I'll state it: there will be zero tolerance policy towards user names with profanity in them.

Zero tolerance means that such accounts will be deleted as soon as they are spotted by an admin.

Theres some irony in that message about a mod saying that theres 0 tolerance to do with names ith profanity but the mod has an avatar of someone flipping the bird :smile:

Yeah, well, just incase anybody thinks that's me, it's not, and I actually sent a PM to Zingy about an hour ago letting him know about that new registered user. I don't know what's going on with all that stuff, but can't the IP address be checked to find out of it's the same person and who it is?

Its clearly the same guy. Someone who got pissed the first time he was removed and has kept re-registering. You can't get his ip unless he posts at least once, which is something he's clearly not intending on doing.

Makes me wonder if there is a way to keep the registered user count but not show each name as it comes up (only on the memberlist for anyone who wants to check it out). That way, the name isn't really visable unless you go looking for it, or the person posts. And if he posts, than it would be easy to get his ip address. Just a thought. I'm sure this guy will get tired of it by the fifth or sixth name unless he plans on actually posting.

I don't want to point any fingers, but I just remembered that we had a member named boris that was here a few days back that was a bit eccentric. I'm not saying it's him, cause I have no idea, but these names did start appearing after he got mad and quit posting.
