I'm not quite sure I agree with a 7-day banning, considering that many users curse like Algren does (and sometimes, even worse), yet they don't recieve warnings or bannings.

It's not so much the cursing but the fact that he attacks people with curse words. If that's what you meant, I apologize. I misread somewhere.

Cursing is allowed unless in excess. Cursing directed at another member, or personal attacks are not.

Algren has violated the rules and has been punished accordingly.

If you see anyone else you think may also be in violation, please PM me. I am very serious when I say I aim to address this cloud of negativity, and these types of attacks are one of the forms it is manifesting itself.

Just for the record, I have absolutely no apologies for my post above, it was not baiting, it was an intelligent valid point.

I tend to agree with Archie. He is being called out for a similar thing I was called out for before even though what he has stated was a fact just as I did.

A useless fact that serves absolutly no point. It has no chance at bettering the situation. It has no desire to better the situation. Infact, all it is doing is creating an entierly new situation.

I would much prefer that you would all just leave the disciplin to the moderating team, allow us to handle Goldie and his actions. If you have a problem with something he said or did, our PM boxes are open and waiting.

I knew that to observers it would appear odd that you would ban Algren and not Goldie when they have done equivalent things, so I stuck up for you and said well it made sense, because if you ban Goldie he will just change IP and make new names, he doesn't give any sense of being reformable. Algren can be reasoned with easier it seems, banning him might cause reform.

And frankly I really don't appreciate you implying I had bad motives, you are basically calling me a liar when I said I wasn't baiting. I was not interfering in discipline. The point of these threads is to give our opinion, is it not? If you don't want feedback, then just post your post and lock it so we can't reply. Otherwise it looks like you want us to give our opinion and we will.

I have been leinant with Goldie, and I have my reasons for that. But there has absolutly NEVER came a time when have said, discussed, or even thought about NOT banning goldie for fear he would re-create a duplicate account. I find that comment very offensive. I do my very best to police these boards, and I would never not ban someone for a reason like that.

Your posts while they mean to be helpful, are not elping me in any way. I am not in the slightest worried about people crying foul about Algrens banning, as his track record is clear for all to see.

Goldie's record too is clear. As are my comments made in the Goldie vs WoKJ forum.

The fact is, I simply need all the members help regarding goldie. I have asked, I have pleaded, and I simply don't know what else to do to get you to keep his name out of your posts.

If you can not say something positive about him, then do not say anythign at all. Otherwise yes, in his case, I do consider it baiting, even if that is not the intended purpose. Just leave it alone. Leave him alone. That way I can make sure he leaves YOU alone.

I once got 7 days and I also have been harassed other times but I never made a double account, changed my IP, etc. Unlike someone who made up BMP.

So Archie can you produce the other names I have used in 10 months here.

Last I checked, I remember warnings and bannings being locked announcements.

Why this thread has remained open this long is beyond me. Especially since it no longer has to do with Algren, and seeing as how it's he who has been banned, and doesn't have a means in which to respond to any comments that have been made here, I think it would be a great idea to just lock this announcements as previous ones have been. Take it to pm. I'm writing a pm as we speak, since none of this should be attached to a a banning announcement of a non-present member.

The triple warning by baumer and the guti warning bu eagle, both on this very page, are locked too.

You're arguing that Archie shouldn't make comments and should provide proof about you possibly making double accounts, and then you accuse "someone" (which we all know who you're talking about) of making a double account, BigMoviePimp (BMP). You have no proof of that either, so please don't accuse others when you don't like to be accused.

Other than that, I've seen an improvement over the past few days, so that's good.
