With EEAAO soon to join it as a hip asian cast Best Picture winner, which do you like more?

Recency bias.

I haven't seen EEAO but I doubt it will be better than Parasite.

Re: Everything Everywhere All At Once vs Parasite
Trying to take into account recency bias, I think was more impressed by Parasite at the time.

Re: Everything Everywhere All At Once vs Parasite
Parasite for sure. It will be remembered as the best film from this generation.
EEAAO is also great though, and will be one of the few modern best pictures that deserves its win.

Re: Everything Everywhere All At Once vs Parasite
Parasite though it was close.
Though EEAAO likely started filming before Spidy came out, the "multiverse" angle while fresh would have been even more amazing coming out sooner. Feel the multiverse has been a thing in a few big movies now. It was brilliantly executed in EEAAO but instantly I found myself comparing it to other "multiverses." The starpower also was strong and narrative of comeback stories, career celebrations, and legacy type angles.
Parasite was just a great view of the classes North American audiences hadn't really seen before and it was a groundbreaking foreign film (even if it had lost BP). No stars recognized by general audiences in NA but a powerful film that struck a chord.

The Daniels said they had to stop watching Rick and Morty cause it was driving them crazy that they were using a lot of the same ideas.

I think EEAAO has Gen Z's attention span, millennials' humor and Gen X's philosophy

Re: Everything Everywhere All At Once vs Parasite
I remember feeling just as engaged watching both, and it was a feeling I don't get as often as I'd like watching movies. I have to watch EEAAO again, but I'd give the edge to Parasite.

Re: Everything Everywhere All At Once vs Parasite
It's so hard but EEOA takes this by a sausage finger. I kinda resonated with it more than with Parasite
The overbearing mom not wanting to accept her daughter's sexuality hits too close for me. And I loved how they made up in the end. It's just.... too close to home for me not to love it.

Re: Everything Everywhere All At Once vs Parasite
Parasite is one of the greatest films of all-time.
EEOAO was an entertaining, quirky little sci-fi movie that somehow hoodwinked the press and Academy voters into thinking it was some transcendent masterpiece.
