This is going to be so stupid. No way Keanu can go back to Ted after playing John Wick. It is funny how Alex Winter looks almost identical to how he looked in those films though.

I think it’s awesome that Keanu wants to play Ted again. Never thought he’d go back to that now that he’s a huge star. The writers of the first two movies wrote the script for the 3rd one, so that gives me confidence that it will be good. Wonder how they will explain the absence of Rufus (George Carlin).

The first two weren't exactly "good", though. What was entertaining in the 1980s isn't going to be entertaining in 2019. You may rewatch films from the 80s and like them, but that's not the same as having that same film/style being made in 2019. There is just no way for films to do these long-passed sequels. It's stupid, and never ends well.

I think they were awesome, actually. Yes, I agree that a lot of sequels that come out long after the originals end up not being any good, but with most of the original crew coming back, and, from what I’ve heard, a very good script, I have confidence that this will end up good. It could end up bad, but I love the idea that they have for this one.

Rocky Balboa(16 years between films), Rambo (20 years between films), Super Troopers 2 (17 years between films. Yes I thought it was good). Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. (19 years between films. Not as good as original trilogy, but still a solid sequel). Yes, Bill & Ted Face the Music will have by far the biggest time gap of those I mentioned (28 years minimum by the time it’s released), but that doesn’t automatically mean it will be bad. Might not be as good as the first two, but it definitely has a shot to be enjoyable. William Sadler is returning as Death, so that already has me pumped. :)

Rambo and Rocky Balboa are not comedy or even family entertainment, so they don't count. I guess you're pinning all your hopes of it being good on ... Super Troopers 2. Good luck. ;)

I said sequels that were released long after the originals, not just comedies. Why shouldn’t dramas or action movies
count?

If anything I'm actually really excited for this to see where they go. The first 2 are surprisingly well written and witty films.

And I'm so glad they passed on the original 3rd film that was eventually reworked into Bio-Dome (Though I'm sure Bill and Ted Saves the world would have been a hell of a lot better).
