Garfield, Sylvester, Puss in Boots, Cheshire Cat are all better than Simba.

Simba is a bit of a milquetoast. Cats is one of the most competitive species for animated bests. Felix, Scratchy, Hello Kitty, and Stimpy would all also be contenders - though, I would agree with your pick of Sylvester as the all time best.

Best Dog:
Goofy, Snoopy, or Droopy.

I might even give it to Nala before Simba. At least she stayed and protected her people from the hyenas.

Puss wins domestic cat for me though.

Donkey v Eeyore is a tough battle. No argument with Sebastian (though Mr. Krabs is no slouch). But I would add King Louie, Mojo Jojo, Donkey Kong, King Kong, Rafiki, and Tarzan's Cheetah to the monkey nominees. (Though consideration should be given to breaking them out into individual species.)



I think Dumbo might be a lock, though I would add Babar and Horton to the category.
