Last week I was driving past this building (small concert venue here in Melbourne) and always look up to the billboard as its owned by UIP which used to have offices next door and always put up movie billboards on it. I noticed it had Jurassic Park up and thought it was perhaps left over from the Jurassic World exhibition which was on nearby last year.

Nope. Its the original billboard from 1993! I remember seeing it up there way back then. Since it would have been covered by another 100+ movie billboards and thus it was preserved.

Couldn't take a photo but someone on reddit already did...

BTW - look at the release date - September 2 lol. We had to wait 3 months for JP back then. Ridiculous. I

ID4 was similar - 3 month wait. If only i could find a photo of the billboard for that film. It was building size and on a busy city street corner. I used to be able to see it from my university window and recall being pissed off it wasn't out sooner.

Is that a common practice to just cover up posters like that? Many spots where I've lived, there is usually an auction or the biggest fan vies for it right then and there.

Either way great vibe. The Sept. date is kind of funny.

It's technically not a poster. It is a billboard pasting, with individual segments glued together. Kinda hard for them to remove it and have any one person make use of it.
