People scenery chew in real life all the fucking time, so acting can mimic that and still be good. It's all subjective, so just go with what Chippy said and you'll be fine. |

I was just thinking of Meryl Streep in Into the Woods. I think she was amazing, but David called her scenery chewing theatrics unspectacular. |

To me, the best acting doesn't look like acting. When you can see the acting, it's failed. EDIT: Except musicals, which exist in another fantasy time/space completely. |
