Re: Star Wars Episode VII thread - Cast announced
I'll have less of an issue with the lack of females if Ridley is given a Jedi role and becomes a large part of the film.

Financially, it would be stupid not to. (Not that this won't make shit tons of money anyway, but having a female "lead" can put this over $500+ mil)

Don't forget that Sam Jackson, Liam Neeson and Ewan McGregor can all come back as ghosts.

I'm fine with the cast and I'm sure most of the new unknown actors will become well-known stars after the film hits and smashes records in 2015 SSSOOOOO EXCITED

Apparently Disney pulled all of Daisy Ridley's acting reels off the internet.

I don't think anybody had rumors of a black lead so this will be pretty big news once people figure out who he is. Is he Lando's son? They were casting a major black lead late into March. A few of my friends went in for it. They couldn't reveal the part though. All they said was the voice was the deciding factor.

Re: Star Wars Episode VII thread - Cast announced
More GOOD NEWS! This goes to the people who are complaining about the lack of female stars on the film Quote: ...For those of you who were concerned to see that Carrie Fisher and Daisy Ridley were the only two actresses featured at the Star Wars: Episode VII table read, I have some good news: The Hollywood Reporter has learned from sources close to the production that the blockbuster is still on the hunt for another female actor to play a major role in the story. Similar to just about every other casting story we've heard about the project, no details are known about the character right now, but THR suggests that what the filmmakers may still be looking for is "a mixed-raced female in her twenties." The trade notes that just a couple weeks ago Abrams was reportedly meeting with Academy Award winner Lupita Nyong'o about a potential part, so feel free to speculate that she may still be in the game..... http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/heat-v ... ing-699924

She is such a perfect fit for the Star Wars universe with her striking beauty and demeanor, and it's about damn time that Star Wars has a woman of colour in a major role.

She could play as a slave who is in captivity and become a Sith killer who wants revenge
