X-Men: Last Stand was hated? I have no interest in seeing it a second time, but I enjoyed it while it was playing.

^a lot of people praise Days of Future Past for the sole reason that it erases Last Stand from the timeline.

I don't really love it but I dig Sucker Punch.

Is Watchmen hated? Perhaps not - though I do recall it being widely criticised. I loved it.

All my friends (incl. me) love Watchmen.

I would say Watchmen is divisive rather than hated. Same for most Zack Snyder films with the exception of Sucker Punch.

Ok great. Then scratch Watchmen off the list.

And yes it's hard to like Sucker Punch. A mess.

I'm going to voice an unpopular opinion here and say that I am shocked Ballistic: Ecks Vs Sever never achieved cult status for being one of the best worst movies ever made. I watched it today for the first time ever and it's nothing short of brilliant. There are so many layers to how awful it is that after a while it's just fun. I even think the film may be looked at as just mediocre rather than dreadful if they stripped the music clean out of the movie and replaced it with a better score. That score alone makes it worth the price of admission.

And it's all stamped with the unbelievable fact that someone OK'd that for $70 million?!

You just NOW watched it?! I renamed you after it SO MANY years ago!

I thought it was just deadly dull.

The dullness is only minor. If you just examine everything else going on, it gets kind of fascinating. Like the fact that Lucy Liu's entire performance feels more like rehearsal footage. Or that when four plot twists didn't work, they went with six. Or that everything seems to explode at some point.

In fact, I'm convinced there was no finished script. The movie is a series of plot twists, explosions and fight scenes tied together with the characters just spouting nonsensical language that vaguely adheres to a story. Terms are used like "intel" and "tactical unit" feeling like things someone heard from better action movies. And "Do not let them cancel each other" which might be the best line in the whole thing.

I could just keep going here. It's one of those films that looks like what aliens might create if they came to Earth and tried to duplicate our action movies.

Juxtaposed with what I consider to be the worst movie I've ever seen, Night of the Living Dead 3D, there are major differences. Dead 3D is just painfully boring, incoherent garbage, made with the smallest effort possible. Ballistic is, at the very least, made by someone who desperately wanted to make the best action movie ever. You can feel the love watching it. It's just unfortunate that "KAOS" has just as much talent as the Dead 3D director. Just a ton more drive and ambition.

Not to mention $70 million.

I liked Ballistic: Ecks vs. Sever back in 2003 or whenever it was made. Not seen it since. Well, I gave it a B, which isn't great, but it means I didn't hate it. I grew more fond of it since then until around 2006 where I started to forget it. Lucy Liu, though, wow, what a babe.

I just watched The Garbage Pail Kids Movie and couldn't help but add it here. Like Ballistic: Ecks vs. Sever before it, I am shocked that this hasn't gained a cult following for how awful it is in every way imaginable. Here are just some of my favorite parts:

-A young boy, Dodger, who looks about 11, is in love with a girl, Tangerine, who looks about 28.

-Dodger comes into contact with Captain Manzini, who is clearly a pedophile, and soon after, Dodger is in Captain Manzini's antique shop in a bathtub, for a brief moment being watched by Manzini and the title Kids. Talk about creepy. There's even a coy line near the end where Manzini exclaims to Dodger "Oh don't worry, I've been stuck in tighter places before!!" Yikes.

-One of the Garbage Pail Kids has more of a fascination with human toes than the most passionate foot fetishist. Oh, and instead of being a "kid", he's somehow an alligator.

-Three-quarters into the movie, I realized there was actually a plot in here somewhere, and it tries foolishly to tie in some message about being different. Hey kids, remember: it's OK to fart loudly, snot all over the place, piss your pants and suck on people's toes! It's OK to be different!!

-And of course, the look of the Garbage Pail Kids is an abomination. I will forever love the look of puppetry and animatronics, but these creations seem to be neither. They're merely midget actors with what looks like papier-mache on their head. The mouths barely move in time with the words and the eyes... oh lord, the eyes. It's too bad someone didn't have the foresight to make this a horror movie.

Which brings me to the fact that someone, SOMEHOW, thought this could and should be a movie for children. If I had seen this as a kid, I would likely have went straight into a psych ward. I could probably make a long list of all the reasons this should never have been made, but I'm so glad it was.

It's crude, crass, vile, reprehensible, shameful, and above all, a classic of really bad movies. I would gladly watch this again over a well-made bore-fest.
