The first half of the 2010's were better than the second half and it shows in your list too. I'd say a good 15 of those would be in my Top 50 as well. Still a number of films on that list I need to see incl. Good Time, Interstellar, Lion and Triple Frontier.

Re: Top 50 films of the 2010's
Haven't seen quite a few of these (Everest, Allied, Before Midnight, Mississippi Grind, Fleet of Time in the top 25) so I'll have to get on that!
Drive is a great pick for overall best. And Creed. And lots of Nolan.

Re: Top 50 films of the 2010's
In the 2010s I stopped trying to religiously watch each year's crop of awards-bait films, and instead just settled for the comfort of high-brown genre fair so my list will mostly represent that. There are still so many acclaimed films from that decade I have yet to see. In no order, and I'm really struggling to think of 50 so this will have to do:
Parasite, Gravity, Mad Max: Fury Road, Call Me By Your Name, Life of Pi, Inside Out, Melancholia, The Witch, The Favourite, Hereditary, Zero Dark Thirty, The Social Network, Blade Runner 2049, Her, Ex Machina, Annihilation, The Big Short, Toy Story 3, Gone Girl, Arrival.

Did you all forget that La La Land was released in the 2010s?
Anyway, I will get around to doing a list at some point. About a dozen from stuffp's list will be in mine.

I've still been meaning to rewatch it and it might enter this list then, just not from my first viewing. Maybe I was expecting too much, it just didn't leave me wowed (enough).

Nice. Some great picks. The animation films are only just not so much my thing, but Finding Nemo is great indeed.

Good list. We share two (LaLa Land + Kill Bill) and one I wish I'd chosen (Before Sunset)

Re: Top 50 films of the 2010's
Ah heck, here's my Times ballot too. The hardest omission was John Wick, but I went with Whiplash over it. And Before Sunset probably would make my top 20. I also excluded Rush after all because it doesn't yet mean the same to me as those older films. And about the age of a film, I feel I've not been as fond of films from the last 10 years, but damn the first half of this century so far has had loads of all-time gems. I guess if a certain film has been in your life longer, been watched more often and become a part of you in some way it becomes so much more meaningful.

Re: Top 50 films of the 2010's
The 2000s (00 to 09) were amazing for film. The perfect mix of blockbusters and indies and everything in between. The perfect and logical flow on of the amazing 1990s.
And yes we were all of the prime moviegoing age during the decade but i believe film quality and relevance helped us cultivate the love for film.
The 2010s continued where the 00s left off but there is a noticeable downward trend in quality .

That is very insightful and so beautifully expressed! I really do need to watch Drive again a second time. I do remember it being my favorite film that year but I only included films I’ve seen 2x (Parasite) or more (other movies on my list)

Re: Top 50 films of the 2010's
Overall a very decent list that will make for some good viewing. Some of them I'm not really familiar with though (Fish Tank?, The Gleaners and I?), some are great to be on there, but also still loads missing in a way. Nice that Anchorman made it and Superbad just, but why is The Hangover not on it. Also, no John Wick and while it would not be high on my list, where's La La Land. If this is ranked, it's crazy Moonlight is so high. Good that Gladiator made it after all too, and it would've been crazy if Spielberg wouldn't be on the list and well then Minority Report is the best choice indeed.

A list made by people who clearly get high off the smell of their own farts, but still plenty of good choices amongst the farts.
