HOW did GOTG get such good reviews?
This is one of the worst films I have ever seen. No plot, no character depth or development, zero motivation for anything, key plot rely on beyond absurd character actions, the stuff with his Mother at the end is just cringe worthy, nothing is earned, god awful villain, no tension, beyond forced relationships. The ending montage showing John C Reilly celebrating with his family is the cringe worthiest of a dozen cringe worthy moments. He's has like 2 scenes and nobody cares about him whatsoever.
Rewatching for the first time since release. Wtf were critics thinking? The movie is downright awful, and I love popcorn blockbusters. I am stupider for having watched this.

If I recall correctly, you oriinally gave it a B+ when you thought it was a niche movie. Then, angered by its massive success, you declared it worse than Batman and Robin. The Excel Saga is the most interesting part of the DCU so far.

Because you are a moron if you can't see why it is at least a decent film.

Re: HOW did GOTG get such good reviews?
Because it's actually a good movie and you're now trying to rationalize how Suicide Squad could get such negative reviews without having seen it (though everyone knows you'll "love it")?
On a side note, it is funny how Warners has shamelessly copied Marvel/Disney's strategy with the soundtrack.

Did I say they were shamelessly copying the song choices? I perhaps should've been more clear, but I meant the idea of the soundtrack as a mixtape.

Re: HOW did GOTG get such good reviews?
A soundtrack filled with original music? Those are few and far between. Reserved for Snyder films, Nolan films, etc...
