Magic Tree House Headed to the Big Screen!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
http://www.ew.com/article/2016/02/04/li ... tree-houseI loved these books as a kid! Lionsgate has the rights to all 54 books, and the first will be based on #29, Christmas in Camelot. I wondered why there had never been any sort of film adaptation for these books before.

As far as children's books go, they seem pretty new. The first one being published in 1992. I think that doesn't give them many years to really get into schools etc. At least not before I left school (or this reading age). You're a lot younger than I am so you know them well.

zwackerm wrote: Really? These are like the first chapter books I ever read. What children's chapter books have you heard of? Never read books, as a hobby. Mostly plays, got me into writing. There was Goosebumps, or classics. But none of them really interested me. Went into films full force by 3. Abbott and Costello universal golden age of horro, etc.. Never got into kids books even when, not sure it is a thing anymore. used to have a book sale at your elemenetry school for books. I googled this, only 13 when they started. Though I'm always surprised when a book series is at 50+ and never heard of it. I've at least heard of every Book to possible adaptation outside of when Twilight was first announced. I just read a lot deals with Camelot. Not too excited after that, the general premise seems like it could be fun though, kind of a Narnia/Jumanji kind of thing. I couldn't even find much on individual books. Despite the volume it does seem a little more niche.

Does anyone else have a problem comprehending Thegun or is it just me? Most of what he writes is just gibberish.

I remember the covers, but I never read them. I was more drawn to Goosebumps and Animorphs in second grade.

Re: Magic Tree House Headed to the Big Screen!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I had/read some of these, but they weren't my favorites. In my elementary school days, Goosebumps, The Bailey School Kids, and Animorphs were my favorite book series.
I still have my Goosebumps and Bailey School Kids books, but I could never find the Animorphs books where I lived or anywhere nearby. So on most weekends, I'd go to the public library to read them in the morning before going to the roller skating rink in the evenings with my older friends. #childhoodmemories.
