 Re: BAFTA nominations
They hate the Fabelmans
Probably seals Top Gun not winning Best Picture - it's this year's Mad Max

 Re: BAFTA nominations
Let's hope the Academy's desperate pandering for ratings will make them reconsider. Maybe TGM needs to include this in its FYC campaign.

 Re: BAFTA nominations
Big momentum booster for All Quiet. We know Netflix is good at campaigning too, they got two bad movies nominated for Best Picture last year.

 Re: BAFTA nominations
Maybe I am out of the loop, but I didn’t think Elvis was that well received.

 Re: BAFTA nominations
Every year it is obvious which film gets the Outstanding British Film award, and this year it's The Banshees of Inisherin. It's there as a fail-safe for Best Film.

 Re: BAFTA nominations
Butler beat Farrell and Fraser. He's going to run away with this and momentum seems very much on his side.

Winners
Best Film - All Quiet on the Western Front Best British Film - Banshees of Inshirin Best Director - All Quiet on the Western Front Best Actor - Austin Butler Best Actress - Cate Blanchett Best Supporting Actor - Barry Keoghan Best Supproting Actress - Kerry Condon
Big loss for Farrell considering Banshees won both supporting.

 Re: BAFTA nominations
The Butler win surprised me. Nice acceptance speech though.
The night seemed to be all about Banshees and Western Front. Nothing else really mattered. Everything was left dumbfounded.

 Re: BAFTA nominations
Austin Butler winning seals the Oscar IMO. Poor Colin Farrell.
