Re: Directors Guild nominations I think DGA is friendlier to movies like Top Gun than the Oscars, stuff like Dune and the Martian showed up here but not there. So I could see Kosinski being the one who misses, and in the past they've done some weird nominations like the Cold War or Another Round guy, so they could easily go off the board with someone like Rajamouli or Chan-wook here, or it could just be Baz.

It was always going to win the Screen Actors Guild so this Best Picture race is probably a wrap, although we have been surprised before. Would be a pretty cool winner!
I'd say Director is over, in the unlikely case of EEAAO loss they still end up with one of the 2 major awards.
