All Mackenzies are the same! :P

Post Re: 18th WOKJ Motion Picture Awards - The Nominees
I treid CODA for about 25 minutes. The deaf parts were actually pretty funny, very creative use of sign language. But the singing itself ... cringetopia! I just can't handle normal people singing pop songs. Pitch Perfect, Zoey's Extraordinary Playlist, Sing, etc... Not my thing at all.

Last Duel will be next. I read that Worst Person In The World will be on Hulu though, who now show commercials in the middle of their movies. So might not be able to get to that one.

I will be open the voting either later today or tomorrow!

My plan is to have voting open for two weeks and then reveal the winners on Saturday, March 26 (the night before the Oscars).

Voted.

I'm glad I watched the whole best picture lineup since Worst Person and Last Duel were both very good (KJ always knows.) It didn't change much overall though.

Remember The Suicide Squad! A quirky underdog story both on set and off. A movie that should have never been made. A direct result of refusing the wrongful cancellation of a brilliant man. A movie that was totally screwed over by the pandemic and never got it's just due at the box office. A movie that pushed that boundaries of what a superhero story can do, while at the same time giving us everything we love about them. Remember how laughed at the good times and remember how we laughed at the bad too. Remember the gallows humor, remember the breathtaking action, remember that even bad men can do good things ... Remember The Suicide Squad!
