Sorry but where or what is Gotham?

I don't think it is a reference to Batman's Gotham City or NYC.

* IFP/New York is a not-for-profit membership and advocacy organization serving the independent film community. The mission of IFP is to build bridges between creative talent and the film industry, providing invaluable information, resources, and avenues of communication. (from the IFP www site, 2004)
* In contrast to the Independent Spirit Awards the Gotham Awards cover the East Coast's independent film scene. In 2004 the scope of the event has been extended to honor achievements in narrative and documentary independent filmmaking on a national level.
* Up to 2003 the event always has been celebrated in September.

Hmm...strange.

Yes, but the official awards' site lists Sideways as the winner.

The Agronomist was excellent...I really like it, I hope it gets an Oscr nod and I think Demme is one of the best directors of the past decade, if not the best.

I think in smaller circles, NYC, etc, Before Sunset was better received than Eternal Sunshine. There is that group of people that really don't like Kaufman scripts. Look for it to do better in the more mainstream Oscars, since most people do like his scripts and pacing, and Sunset really remained in the artshouse type filmhouses with only a 5.5 milllion.

I saw the same winners listed that Rod did. This thread confused me when I first saw it. I would go with the results from the offical site.
