Quote:
Mr Earnshaw takes in Heathcliff, a mistreated foundling, and raises him alongside his stepsister Catherine. The two develop a romantic relationship, but Catherine ultimately decides to marry a wealthy man. Heathcliff becomes fixated on seeking revenge and this obsession carries over into the following generation.

Post Re: Wuthering Heights (1998)
I watched this after hearing Emerald Fennell is making it and cast Margot Robbie as someone who's supposed to look the opposite of her and half her age. Having not read the book this I was pretty happy with my choice of adaptation to watch. They did a good job capturing Heathcliff and Cathy being so self destructive together and his animal anger and her inability to handle she grew up. Catherine jr. and Matthew Macfadyen is the healthier relationship as she's actually trying to help him read and stuff.
