 Flora and Son  Quote: Flora and Son is a 2023 musical comedy drama film written and directed by John Carney, featuring original songs by Carney and Gary Clark. The film stars Eve Hewson, Jack Reynor, Orén Kinlan, and Joseph Gordon-Levitt.
Flora and Son had its world premiere at the Sundance Film Festival on January 22, 2023, and was given a limited theatrical release in the United States on September 22, 2023, to be followed by a wide release in Ireland on February 23, 2024. It also began streaming on Apple TV+ worldwide on September 29, 2023.

Re: Flora and Son Another Carney hit! I only saw the great Sing Street from him before and he nails this film again. The film shares a similar formula, pretty relatable drama stuff mixed with some excellent musical tones. Great cast in this, Hewson shines and I love Gordon-Levitt in it too, I really like his recent career actually. Hewson gives probably my favorite female performance of last year. The star of this film is the music once again, just some very good tunes and then it has heart and humor too. A super feel good film and one of my favorites from last year.
