This was kind of awesome. I went into it knowing very little (which isn't hard given how little it's been advertised) and was really surprised with what a lean, mean little chiller this was. It's a shame Lionsgate dumped this in the middle of summer as it would have been perfect for the fall and Halloween when the film is set. Lizzy Caplan and Antony Starr are both great and terrifying, and there are some truly horrific setpieces. The scene between the two of them and Cleopatra Coleman's character was the tensest I've been in a theater in a while. And the last act is pretty bonkers in the same way that Barbarian and Malignant shocked audiences. Hoping this finds another life on streaming. A-
