Disney is on complete autopilot here. The film is rarely boring but there's nothing to distinguish it from a plethora of other scifi animated films. It makes Atlantis and Treasure Planet look incredibly creative and inspired by comparison

It was okay. zwackerm is pretty much right, but I don't think it had to necessarily distinguish itself. Although I suppose you could say the movie having no villain/antagonist is fairly unique. No character turn, no big monster at the end, etc. That was at least refreshing. Could have easily gone either route making Callisto or Jaeger the villain, or introduce some monster. So... some credit for avoiding that.

It just didn't really excel at anything. Not bad, but not great. C+/B-. And if compared to Atlantis or Treasure Planet, yeah, it's not as good as either.

The "strange world" is actually very nicely designed and creative. Much better than the Lightyear planet for example. But this film really lacked interesting characters. Even the character designs are incredibly standard and not memorable

A rare bust for Disney. This movie just has nothing going for it. I guess the animation is somewhat pleasant to look at?

2.5/10

This was better in the theater than rewatching it on D+. It's pretty bizarre that they went back to making a 2000s Disney movie after they sort of had a renaissance. Not bad but certainly very weak compared to the highs of the 2010s.
