I really liked this and I'm not into the Western genre usually. The performances are great across the board and the story is complex and interesting. From a technical standpoint this is also fantastic - gorgeous cinematography and an impressive score. B+

What a drag. This movie should have been a comedy. As a Serious Drama Movie it is just so boring and I hated all the characters.
Worst of all - there weren't any dogs.

Re: The Power of the Dog
Excellent movie. This is an example of an ending taking it to an entirely different level and making everything that happened up to that point more important and turns it from just a cerebral character study to something of a western version of a gothic thriller. The performances were great across the board with Dunst standing out other than Cumberbatch, and the buildings and costumes etc., cinematography and Greenwood's score is exquisite.
