Tries to handle the slavery topic but does not execute it well but it still tells a compelling story of a cameleer and the struggles of his actions and lifestyle. The introductory and ending titles suggest that the movie wanted to be so much more but it never justifies that. David Wenham is great in here and once he enters the movie he elevates the movie, Ahmed Malek does the job but I never felt much for his character. The movie starts with promise and the Chinese shops with the cruelty towards them are handled well. There are two/three shotouts are good but those could have been better much like the rest of the film.
