On the Rocks is a 2020 American comedy-drama film written and directed by Sofia Coppola. It follows a father and daughter (Bill Murray and Rashida Jones) as they tail her suspicious husband (Marlon Wayans). The film had its world premiere at the New York Film Festival on September 22, 2020, and was released in a limited theatrical release on October 2, 2020, by A24, followed by digital streaming on October 23, 2020, by Apple TV+. It received positive reviews from critics, who noted it as lighter than Coppola's previous films and praised Murray's performance.

Bill Murray is phenomenal in this and Rashida Jones is equally great but her character is a bit too predictable throughout. Copolla does really well to keep things lighter and interesting this time. The end definitely brings emotions for the father but rest of the characters don't feel evolved by end of it specially Jones' Laura.

I liked it. It doesn't reinvent the wheel but it's an entertaining watch. The two leads are great. B

This was a breezy watch but nothing too memorable. Kept me entertained though. It was nice that he was a solid husband in the end, and not a cheater.

A pleasant and nice laidback film. It doesn't have the best story but Murray lifts it. Maybe it's due to the lack of films that came out / I saw last year, but it's easily one of the better ones.
