I’m pretty sure the phone isn’t the killer. Lol, what kind of argument is that? Why are the people in West Side Story singing when they should be talking? Why doesn’t Carrie Fisher have a bigger role in The Rise of Skywalker? Why are animals talking in a Narnia film?

You had to answer the phone back in the 90s. Otherwise you'd have to pay money (*69) to find out who called you!

I saw Scary Movie before this (and liked it alot more before realizing it was a scene for scene recreation) and still got duped by Billy and Stu. Though I do wonder what the point of faking Billy's death was if they were just gonna reveal themselves a few minutes later.

It definitely hard to watch this movie the same way once you have seen Scary Movie. :funny:

EASILY the most underrated character/performance here is Matthew Lillard. Every time I watch this movie, he cracks me up.

"Why did you do it - thats your motive?"
"Peer pressure, I'm much too sensitive" :hahaha: :hahaha: :hahaha:

His maniacal evil is also much scarier than Billy's IMO.

I just revisited this after maybe 20 years and it's such a clever and entertaining film. Great and scary opening, excellent cast, from the leads to the supporting parts and keeping the thrills coming throughout. Watching it now, it has a great 90's nostalgic feel to it and the score is just great too. With it's references to other scary movies and its self awareness as a slasher flick it really sets itself apart. An iconic and classic film.

Yes Scream is just amazing and still holds up well.

Having watched them all again recently + Scream 5, I'd rank them as follows:

1. Scream (1996)
2. Scream (2022)
3. Scream 2
4. Scream 3
5. Scream 4

Scream 4 has a great ending but having seen Scream 5 (which is great), 4 looks comparatively worse.

Scream 3 while flawed, I thought was surprisingly better than I remember it when i saw it in 2000.

Yes - that's a perfect 90s salute right there.
