Madagascar 3: Europe's Most Wanted (also known simply as Madagascar 3) is a 2012 American 3D computer-animated comedy film, produced by DreamWorks Animation, and distributed by Paramount Pictures. It is the third installment of the series, following Madagascar and Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa, and it is the first film in the series to be released in 3D. The film is directed by Eric Darnell, Tom McGrath and Conrad Vernon, and was released generally to the public on June 8, 2012. The film's world premiere was at the 2012 Cannes Film Festival on May 18, 2012.

This was horrible. The film was basically one-liner after one-liner and none of them worked (except for one which apparently I was the only one laughing at, maybe because it actually had intelligence in it?). There is barely a story here, they use "Pomp and Circumstance" and "Non je ne regrette rien" in ways to get cheap laughs, and "Firework" plays on constantly making the film even more of a train wreck like the song. Hopefully this is the last of the series. *

No, there has to be another reason.

It's a shocking amount of fun and far above the other two movies.

Dreamworks is on a roll. HTTYD, Megamind, Kung Fu Panda 2 and Puss in Boots were all genuinely solid kids movies.

This is co-written by Noah Baumbach. Interesting.

I just found that out the other day. It was surprising to say the least.

There were some funny bits but most of the time I spent trying hard to pay attention when really I just didn't care. I often find it difficult to get into animated movies and this was no exception. But it's short so that's a plus.

5/10 ( C )

Saw it today..... no surprise, it lacked of a good and solid story, mediocre but much better than both horrible prequels

King Julien relationship seemed dumb but it was by far one of the greatest moments of the film together with the penguins scenes

6.5/10

IDK, it was fun bt it lacked... cohesion.

And The last scene of the film may indicate this is the last film in this series?

Madagascar 3 does not do anything crazy new from a narrative perspective, but the characters are likable as ever, the antagonist is hilarious, the action is live action film quality, and the circus sequences are truly visually creative and impressive from a technical standpoint.
