Freddy's Dead: The Final Nightmare
Freddy's Dead: The Final NightmareQuote: Freddy's Dead: The Final Nightmare (also known as A Nightmare on Elm Street 6: Freddy's Dead: The Final Nightmare) is a 1991 American slasher film. It is the sixth – and as the title suggests, intended to be the last – film in the series of films featuring Freddy Krueger. However, the success of the film prevented the series from ending (much like Friday the 13th parts four and nine). Another film, Wes Craven's New Nightmare, was produced following this film. The character of Freddy Krueger then returned in 2003's Freddy vs. Jason. This was New Line Cinema's first film released in 3-D.
Robert Englund reprises his role as Freddy Krueger; Lisa Zane, Yaphet Kotto, Breckin Meyer, Shon Greenblatt, Ricky Dean Logan, Lezlie Deane and Tobe Sexton also star. Additionally, several well-known actors make cameo appearances in the film, including Johnny Depp (whose screen debut was in the original A Nightmare on Elm Street), Roseanne Barr, Tom Arnold, and Alice Cooper. Iggy Pop sings the movie's title song, which plays over a montage of scenes from the previous Nightmare movies during the end credits.

3/10 -> D-
The worst Nightmare movie. Awful script, acting, killings... A pain to watch.

It's not worse than the second one. It's also probably not worse than the fifth one.

Re: Freddy's Dead: The Final Nightmare
It is. The second one might not have any relations to the overall story, but this one is preposterous in storylines. Plus the kills are boring and too cartoony even for this series. This is by far the worst sequel.

I find guilty pleasure in all of them, something that cannot be said about the Halloween films.

Re: Freddy's Dead: The Final Nightmare
I remember a guy in a 2D video game dream bouncing through the ceiling and some kind of snake monster thing in good ol' red/blue 3D towards the end. Also Roseanne Barr's cameo, but not Johnny Depp's...
Other than that, I don't remember a thing about it. So... B?

Re: Freddy's Dead: The Final Nightmare
This falls in the batch of the bad nightmare film, not as bad as 2 or 5 but still shitty. The ear death did make me laugh though.

What flew out of Freddy's head when he exploded?

Re: Freddy's Dead: The Final Nightmare
Well the good news is that the karate sequence from part 4 is no longer the dumbest scene in this franchise. The video game kill scene might be the stupidest in all of horror history. I don't mind Funny Freddy, but combined with everything else in this movie it just comes off as trashy. The whole thing is ridiculous. The last ten mintues or so did actually recapture my attention though, and it saves it from being an F, but damn ... I'm glad I'm done with these. D
