 The Score
Quote: The Score is a 2001 American heist film directed by Frank Oz, and starring Robert De Niro, Edward Norton, Angela Bassett, and Marlon Brando in his final film role. It was the only time that Brando and De Niro appeared onscreen together. The screenplay was based on a story by Daniel E. Taylor and Kario Salem.

 Re: The Score
First of all, I cannot believe there was no thread for this already, but I suppose that is becoming the norm on this forum. Shameful. And we call ourselves a movie forum!
Anyway, this is an excellent film. I just love urban thrillers like this, The Fugitive, 15 Minutes, Money Train, 16 Blocks, that type of film. And this one is brilliant. It has a nice score and feels very 90s. Why aren't they still making films in such a way? Everything now is more stylized with less substance. Now we get crap like Wolfs. Norton should have got way more recognition for his portrayal of a disabled person.
It will never happen but I would love a sequel to see how Norton's character tries to get back at De Niro's.

 Re: The Score
Solid but a bit by the numbers, also came out when oceans eleven, heist, etc. I think people were expecting more considering the cast but it’s very well made and the cast elevates it. It’s aged well too. A- there’s a Eastwood movie around this time that reminds me of this. Absolute power I think.
It’s around the time when a lot network tv started having massive hits that made these type of thrillers more of a gamble, plus they started bringing in bigger names. Around the same time shows like 24 and csi came out.
