Its A material but I do not see what makes it "all time" classic material.

Are there different cuts for the film.

I am being serious!

It's a transcendental experience for me every time I watch it. I'm serious.

I have watched this two more times, and it just might be one of the best films as well as one of my favorites. The story is both an eye opener, and beautiful, not to mention the movie as a whole is amazingly entertaining as well. Magnus once said when a film hits you brilliantly with education, emotions, and entertainment, the Three Es, then you have one of the best films ever made, and well I guess that makes Children of Men one of the best films ever made.

The Three E's...I love it.

Works even better if you apply it to life

Still the greatest sci-fi film of this decade.

This film is a blessing, people. Treat it as such!

Exactly. If they don't know how to behave, and feel OK offending others, they get their ass kicked, so they'll think next time before opening their rotten mouths.

I gave this a fake A. I want to revise it to like a C or D.
Disappointing.

So I didn't like this movie much. Which is a shame because I found many traces of a better movie in it (Caine, Moore, etc).

Easily one of the most overrated movies on this site.

Gotta agree with the comment right above me. I managed to see this in a cinema in London in 2006 and had high hopes for it, but got disappointed by it. I watched it again yesterday to see if I would get a different feeling on it and the premise is definitely great, but the execution just can't grip me for most of it.
I've always like Clive Owen so glad to see him in this, and he's good, just neither he or anyone else elevates this to stand out. Though the cinematography in this is pretty good and a good effort is made to create a futuristic and bleak future, this bleakness extents to my feeling towards the film too. I have no idea what the book is like or feels like, but the film couldn't really make me care for the characters and story. It's interesting to an extent, but once the shock of Moore's death happened it doesn't manage to built up the same tension any more. Basically it manages some nice world building, but doesn't do enough with it.
