 F1
Quote: F1 is a 2025 American sports drama film directed by Joseph Kosinski with a screenplay written by Ehren Kruger, from a story the two developed. It is based on Driven, created in collaboration with the FIA, its governing body. The film stars Brad Pitt in the lead role, alongside Kerry Condon, Tobias Menzies, and Javier Bardem.
F1 premiered on June 16, 2025, at the Radio City Music Hall in New York City, and was released in the United States on June 27, during the weekend of the Austrian Grand Prix.

 Re: F1
With some early audience reactions and Kosinski's reputation I went in with high hopes. Maybe not a great start for it, because it's fun, but didn't live up to my expectations. It looks and sounds great and I love Pitt in the role too. But then there it kind of stops, the drama off the track is kind of cringe or weak and though the film is well paced, like I wasn't bored at all either, it's a bit longer than necessary as well. However it makes up for almost everything, when we're on the track. The racing is very well filmed and exciting and again it looks very good, HD and up close. But also there, if to say comparing this to other racing films, Ford v Ferrari, Ferrari and Driven, it doesn't particularly look or feels better than them either. There's quite a lot of car race strategies and antics in the film which either seem very oversimplified or way out of proportion to what you'd see in the real F1. But I get it, they need to make a film and within that context it works and I also don't mind it. Coming back to the start, the film is largely definitely fun, on the back of Pitt, as the fearless racer and the progression of the races and events in the film. To sum the film up in way, it feels more like very elaborate F1 commercial than a great film experience. It's some parts very enjoyable, some parts forgettable.

 Re: F1
Entertaining but extremely predictable and cliched...B fits here. No dramatic hook at all, really....Ford vs. Ferarri had much better characters. I had to retrain myself from laughing out loud at the absurdity of the INSANE crash that JP has, followed buy the instant fireball...only for him to come out with a minor burn on his hand

 Re: F1
I enjoyed it. It's a pretty safe but enjoyable blockbuster with veey attractive leads and the film overall is well made.
