Pretty cool and attractive cast, too bad half feel wasted. The energy of this was low, think had it been more chaotic and more time in getting to know the characters this could've been way better. Henry Cavill seemed like he was having fun so that's nice to see. Overall meh. Could've been much, much better.

Charming. And those who wanted or want Henry Cavill to be James Bond, well, in a clever way here it is.

I do agree though that I wish it kept up the pace of the opening third. Maybe they thought it'd be too exhausting or they thought audiences wouldn't find him to be easy to root for, but any craziness Cavill shows kind of disappears.

Minor complaint: I like the score, but it’s weird it’s trying to ape a western/Ennio Morricone and Quentin Tarantino’s use of his music in Inglourious Basterds when it maybe should’ve been a little closer to John Barry.

Also, I wonder why they went with an R-rating for this. It feels like it was shot with a PG-13 in mind but they added in the heart rip and a couple of throat slicings, all of which could've been edited out since it was CGI blood anyways.

Anyways it's still my favorite movie of the year so far which is not saying much.

B+

Eh, found this pretty boring. Watching nazis get killed is always fun, but there just wasn't much else going on here and you can get the nazi scalps in plenty of other places. Needed more stars besides Cavill.

3/10
