The comic storyline this is based on sounds awesome.

Don't think these will quite match the heights of Infinity War and Endgame, but they should each clear at least 500m

People will turn up for these even if they don't see many of the previous non-entity solo movies like Captain America: New World Order and The Thunderbolts. I don't see hype being anywhere near what it was for Infinity War and Endgame. The build up this time around feels haphazard and less part of a grand plan, more formulaic, less inventive. Marvel fatigue will also certainly play its part. I could see the first missing $500 million, but the second will top $600 million.

1.5 billion+ combined

I'm sure they'll do great no matter what, but if they want this to be an Endgame level event Marvel needs to drog the bags on Tobey, Garfield, Reynolds, Jackman, Chris Evans (as Johnny Storm), Ben Affleck, Nic Cage ... Everyone who has ever been in a Marvel movie basically.

They'll be huge meaning both get to $650-700m but not quite reach the heights of EG/NWH unless inflation gets them there.

It also depends how the next set of films and shows build up to these and who is in them. A breakout for F4 and/or inclusion of X Men could bolster these.

Michael Waldron and Jeff Loveness need to be fired after their scripts for Doctor Strange and Ant Man weren’t well received

Surprisingly modest grosses (350-400). I think superhero stuff will be in clear decline by then.

The next Avengers (if Spider-Man in it especially) should still do $450m+.

The stake of this Kang/Secret Wars master plan depends in part on how good Jonathan's / Disney's PR firm is and how well they repair his image.

Yeah RDJ as Doom is perhaps the jolt the franchise never knew it needed.

At least Doomsday feels like a course correction from Kang.

Perhaps it will be delayed a year though.

I think Doomsday could open bigger than Secret Wars. 1st Avengers movie since Endgame is a bigger hook plus RDJ as Doom. Its not as if Secret wars has a decade of build up like Endgame did pulling in casuals like no other MCU movie.

I think even OW record is in play for Doomsday. Let us see close to release how the hype is. I expect more PLF screens leading to OW record being broken selling 20% fewer tickets.

Secret Wars seems more multiverse/geeky. I think that's a bit of a bust among general auds who never really took to all the Kang stuff. I guess it depends on how well the next phase clicks.

Lazy casting but not suprising, after the misses trying to build the next faze with other actors disney is going back to its old well, starting with the Russos.
My guess that this new faze will feature every original actor from the avengers but this time they will be playing villains in another dimension, like justice league injustice.

Secret wars could potentially have stark vs doom plus the return of cap, new magneto (or just bring fassbender back) with Russos back I’m not worried about avengers. Though fantastic four has to finally deliver. If that’s bad, then the rdj casting will backfire a little.
