Dog Man also flops, I can't buy into the animation style. |

It’s the first animated film in 2 months so there should be a bit of pent up demand. Plus, advertising is everywhere. |

Pent up demand isn’t enough these days: Garfield last year did only 24m over a holiday weekend with the last animated movie before it releasing 11 weeks prior. |

Dogman looks to be about a $20m opener but with the current box office - could go lower. Companion - i'd love for it to break out but probably $10-12m would be a big win. |

It would have been nice to have Back in Action in theatres this January. |

Empire box office says Dog Man is doing well in presales and is going to get great reviews. Could it hit 30m and Wild Robot territory? |

Corpse's book sales stats showed how popular the character is ... its just a question of whether its something kids stick with as they get older or something they drop once they hit a certain age. Speaking of book sales, Onyx Storm came out this last week and to alot of hype. I still think a proper Fourth Wing movie is an easy $400M+ grosser and could possibly even top Deadpool and Wolverine as top R rated movie ever. |

Oh yeah it was on the book charts with the puns! Now I get why it’s going to hit. |

The book sales are exactly why I chose it in the Derby. The other family films will also likely be < $5M at that point so people are ready for a change. |

All this Back in Action talk (prior to Flava's post) and was thinking Shack wanted the Looney Toons movie that WB shelved lol |

I’d rather that got to live than The Day the Earth Stood Still. |

Dog Man previews look weak to me but Friday sales are really good. I am expecting high 20s OW at minimum at this point. |

I just saw Companion at the mystery screening at AMC, it's a pretty fun watch, hope it does well. |

After Wicked and now Nosferatu theaters need to pit their foot down and demand a 72 day theatrical window or they won’t play their films. |

I am now thinking mid 30s OW. Friday sales continue to pace around 10% ahead of Wild Robot. |

Hell, Dog Man should have released over MLK weekend so there could have been one big movie released. |
