Making a club before the official trailer comes out in a week. Big risk without Crowe and Ridley's films recently but I think nostalgia on this is huge and everything Romans seems very trendy right now too. There are universal themes here that still resonate.

I am out. Ridley has missed mostly in past 2 decades post the 1st movie. Only real big hit is Martian and that was from a novel.I am skeptical Ridley was reigned in making this and so expecting a mixed response.

I think even half this number would be great for this movie.

Over Oppenheimer sounds a bit ambitious. Will reserve judgement until a trailer but if it does even half of those #s I'd be surprised.

Don’t need a trailer. Nope. Though 200 would be a win since this genre hasn’t hit 200 in since ever, 100 in a decade. Denzel will get it over 100. It’s gonna need 400+ to break even

The recently released images makes me excited, but it's Ridley after all. So it probably won't even be a great film let alone a box office sensation. No chance in hell this club succeeds. It won't even get half.

Gladiator 2 trailer out imminently.

Also just read that it will be attached to D&W so going to pretty much be seen by everyone. Think that's smart of them to launch it there.

I think it will be a bigger hit than many think and surpass the original both domestically and overseas. But that's probably more like $250m + $350m = $600m. Though I do hope it breaks out further.

Maybe it can pull a Barbie. Mixed response on the initial teaser but turned things around. Hoping for the best but they may need to bring Hans Zimmer back last minute.

May be a much tougher case than Twisters given Crowe Maximus more iconic now than Hunt in Twister but maybe there's a route here that can make the film resonate with today's gen.

Nah. Twisters did well cause it looked appealing to a lot of demos in America. This looks meh to me.

Yeah this looks like shit, tbh. There seems to have been no care in delivering this sequel. Gladiator II, I mean COME ON!! We now know it should be retitled to .... Gladiators. ;)

It was rumoured to have a sequel for years and yes, the title mentioned was "Gladiators". With Twisters success - why not go with the "S"

I'm more convinced this film will disappoint critically and probably be only saved from OS, Ridley Scottt just said he knows where Gladiator 3 can go. That is like the epitome "kiss of death" for the current film, even with Ridley. Hell it happened already this year with George Miller, Matthew Vaughn, Jason Reitman, etc.
