$300M+ - Inside Out 2
~$200M - Garfield, Furiosa, Twisters
$150-180M - Horizon, Fall Guy, Quiet Place

Meh - Apes, If, Alien, Bad Boys
Flops - Purple Crayon, Kraven, Strangers
Surprise- The Watchers > Trap

I'm gonna say GarFuriosa weekend is the winner after disaster May to that point and Bad Boys 4 does pretty good since people want to see Will back in action. Then Twisters and Deadpool both play through August.

Yeah, it's Deadpool vs Inside Out. I think if the next trailer hits Deadpool will do low 400s like Multiverse of Madness. Only reason Inside Out might do sub-350m is people trained to wait for D+.

It will be the first time in 6 years we've had a sequel to an annual winner for a year (since BP/WF). It feels like ages ago and of course has an asterisk but Bad Boys 3 won the year 2020 box office wise.

For a follow up to a $206M performing film (with great legs) could very well have done $250M this go around but TBD how much the Oscars impact his appeal to general moviegoers outside his fanbase.

Still feels like it could really surprise given lower expectations.

Twisters will be the biggest flop of the summer for sure.

IF I think will also tank but not as badly.

Yeah they can't really do a promo tour for this movie without it becoming all about the Chris Rock incident. I think Will should have made a self-defecating comedy before returning to his roots.

Agreed. A bit of a pallet cleanser and a chance to get himself back on-side. This will be interesting to track.

I think an actioner is still better than a comedy for him. I feel like an ID4 sequel will happen with him now sometime since his career needs it.

Garfield already debuted to $22.0M internationally (from 18 markets). Promising so far for its domestic run. Seems the floor on this now could be $250M+. Mexico opening was huge!

I'm pretty happy with my predictions. Sure, there was some wrong ones. WAY wrong. But there were more right than wrong. I was correct that the Horizon's would flop. Bad Boys: Ride or Die, Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes, and A Quiet Place: Day One were more-or-less in the ballpark, in spirit. IF was bang on, down to the million. The Fall Guy wasn't far off. I was right, in essence, that Furiosa wouldn't be huge. Not even I could predict just how badly it would do, but at least I didn't go wild like Flava or Shack. I was right, too, if Deadpool & Wolverine wins the summer - it's in a good position to do so. But the predicted gross is obviously going to be way off. Despicable Me 4 prediction is not going to be too far away, but sure, still wrong. Inside Out 2, yes, embarrassing. As is Garfield and Twisters. But overall I can take confidence from my predictions.

Trap has a shot to pass Free guy. Borderlands is a wildcard, seems like a really bad Guardians knock off. Could open to 40 million just as easily as finish with 40.
