Would be surprised if it opens above 10m. I'm gonna guess around Diablo Cody's other written film Jennifer's Body, around 7m. |

February will have a hit ... next week. Lisa only needs about $6-7M to be #1 though since Argylle is looking at a big drop. |

Saw Lisa Frankenstein tonight at the AMC "secret" screening thing they do. Definitely feels like something that will have a cult following, see it opening under 7m. Something happens near the end that I'm surprised made it in a PG13 movie lol |

I'm hearing great things about Lisa Frankenstein. It absolutely seems like a movie that won't do well at the box office but will become a cult hit, ala Jennifer's Body. I would love to be wrong though and have it actually bring in solid numbers. |

Thursday #'s The Chosen $428,959 -70% $9,433,311 Anyone But You $270,000 -33% $77,423,752 Wonka $230,000 -24% $202,127,901 Aquaman $105,000 -32% $121,254,729 ABY will be at $80M by Sunday. Has Valentines Day in 5 days. Feb. long weekend next week. Needs to hold onto theaters for just 2 more weekends to have enough I think to push it toward $100M but looking harder if it doesn't get a big enough Feb. 14th boost...would still be a great run but would be bad to miss it when this close. If it has a $2.5M weekend, would need nearly an 9X multiplier now to get to $100M. |
